MTA Equestrian Success

Maeve (Year 11) recently competed in South East Queensland (SEQ) Regionals and Interschool State Championships, representing Mt A at events around QLD. SEQ regionals was held at the Queensland State Equestrian Centre in Caboolture. Maeve finished 5th overall in 90cm showjumping, 6th overall in 80cm showjumping, and 7th overall in combined training. 

From the success of the SEQ championships, Maeve qualified for State Championships which was held in Toowoomba. Maeve competed with two horses in Dressage, Showjumping, and Combined training. Maeve and her horses finished midfield in classes of over 50 of the best horse and rider combinations around Queensland. 

 

Maeve is excited to represent MTA at the remainder of the competitions for the 2024 season. 

Rugby 7s

Last week, Mount Alvernia College competed in the Moreton Bay Q7s Rugby Tournament at Morayfield. It was a fantastic day, showcasing the impressive skills of our athletes.

Results:

  • 13s: Runner-up Premiers
  • 15s: Runner-up Premiers
  • 18s: Third Place

We congratulate our teams on their outstanding performance and wish the girls the best of luck in the upcoming Villanova 7s tournament!
