Year 12 News

Kristin Pfitzner & Nick Rigas | Year 12 Coordinators

Welcome to Term 3!

We hope that everyone has enjoyed some rest and relaxation over the Winter break.

We thank Yolande (School Chaplain) who prepared a warm tasty treat of fruit crumble for students to enjoy as they celebrated the end of Term 2.

It was wonderful to see House Captains demonstrate leadership as they helped organise Team Strengths Day, which was held on the last Thursday of Term 2. The House Captains organised teams for a range of novelty events (musical chairs, laundry relay and tunnel ball).

Congratulations to the Year 12 cohort for both their organisation and support of this house event!

Term 3 promises to be busy as the last full term for Year 12 students. We hope that you have taken the time to carefully read your Semester One reports, in addition to checking through supporting comments on SEQTA. A reminder that all redemptions are to be completed by Monday 5th August to achieve an overall unit result of S (satisfactory).

It is important that students make the most of their learning time and take up any additional support that is offered by their teachers. This may include attending after school sessions or making a time to individually consult with a teacher during spare periods.

A reminder that good sleep hygiene, diet, in addition to physical and passive relaxation are essential elements to successfully making it through this busy term. This is an ideal time for students either re-evaluate or design a personalised study planner that accurately reflects their week.

Wishing you a wonderful term!
