Youth Mission Survey

Hello Parents and Guardians of Year 10, 11 and 12 Students, The Wellbeing Team will be facilitating the Youth Mission Survey for the Year 10, 11 and 12 students. This survey is the largest annual survey of young people and enables schools, community organisations, governments and policymakers gain an understanding of young people’s values, concerns, challenges and ambitions.

The survey enquires about sociodemographic information; issues of national importance; engagement with school and post-school aspirations; mental health and wellbeing; sources of support and community connections; housing and financial situation; climate issues; as well as personal concern across a range of topics such as body image, bullying/emotional abuse, discrimination, and stress.

Additional focus areas for 2024 enquire about social media use, loneliness, and opinions relating to alcohol and drugs. All information your child provides will be treated in the strictest of confidence and will not be publicly available anywhere.

Participation is completely voluntary however we encourage students to complete this survey so that we can best support every child and their wellbeing needs.

This is working towards our new Annual Implementation Goal of enhancing the wellbeing, belonging and connectedness of every student. We intend to utilise the data so that we can design curriculum, activities and support services through programs such as Education For Life and Year Level Initiatives.

The survey does require parent/guardian consent, so we kindly ask that you complete the consent form by the 29/07/2024 which we have updated on the event on Compass. More information regarding this survey can be found here

Kindest regards, The Wellbeing Team
