Welcome back to the 2025 school year! 

I hope everyone had a restful summer break, full of new and exciting experiences. It’s always great to hear about the adventures families have had, and I trust that our students are recharged and ready for a new year of learning. During the break, Team Kids was busy running their holiday program, which saw many students attending and enjoying a range of activities. It was fantastic to see the program running so smoothly, and it’s always a joy to see our students engaged during the holidays. Now, as we begin the new school year, we’re looking forward to some exciting events ahead, including our school production, camps, and excursions. These experiences are sure to provide our students with plenty of opportunities to grow and learn outside the classroom, and we can't wait to share these moments with them.

いよいよ新学期がスタートしました。皆様楽しいホリデーを過ごされましたか？長い夏休みは新しい体験や冒険を経験する絶好の機会でもあり、生徒達もひとまわり成長して学校へ戻ってきたように感じます。ティームキッズのホリデープログラムには毎日たくさんの生徒が参加していたようで、こちらでもまた沢山の楽しいアクティビティを体験できたことかと思います。今年はスクールプロダクション、キャンプ、遠足など例年通り楽しい行事が待っています。

Prep Students

I’d also like to take a moment to extend a warm welcome to our new Prep students, who attended their orientation session last Friday. It’s always a heart-warming experience to see their excited faces in their brand-new uniforms, ready to embark on their journey in education. These are the moments that make our work as educators so rewarding, and I know that their first day will be filled with wonder and new discoveries. I wish them all the best as they start their full day of school on Monday.新しいプレップの生徒たちが金曜日にオリエンテーションのセッションに参加しました。新しい制服に包まれ、ワクワクドキドキしながら登校した生徒達。小学校入学という大きなステップを踏み出したプレップさん達ですが、そのような場面に立ち会えることは教育者としてとても感慨深い瞬間であります。月曜日から一緒に頑張りましょう！

NAPLAN

As many of you know, NAPLAN testing for Year 3 and Year 5 students will begin on 12 March, with assessments scheduled to take place between 12 and 18 March. We encourage all parents to avoid scheduling absences during this period, unless their child is unwell, as consistent attendance is crucial. To help students feel comfortable with the process, they will have the opportunity to become familiar with the testing platform in advance. This will ensure that they can navigate the system with confidence on test day. Please note, there is no expectation for students to practice for the test at home. The focus is on ensuring they are prepared and relaxed when the time comes. We will provide the parents of Y3 and Y5 students with more detailed information later this term. 毎年３年生と５年生を対象として執り行われるNAPLANですが、本年度は３月１２日から始まります。ライティング、リーディング、文法・スペリング、算数の４つのテストが１２日から１８日の間にあります。生徒達がテストのプラットフォームに慣れるために、学校でプラットフォーム上にあるツールを使う練習する機会が与えられますが、テストに向けて特にご家庭で復習や練習をしていただく必要はございません。

I’m excited to see the growth of all our students throughout this year and look forward to continued collaboration with our families in 2025. Together, we can make this year one of great learning and achievement.今年も生徒達の成長を楽しみにしています。保護者の皆様と色々な場面で関わらせていただくことも楽しみにしております。
