Term 4 - Week 9

Principal’s Report

Advent

As we enter the second week of Advent we light a second purple candle on the second Sunday of Advent to represent the peace of Christ.

Advent Prayer of Peace

God of Hope, through this period of Advent, we pray that this time will be different.

This Christmas, may we be less rushed and more peaceful,

Less concerned about gifts and more about people,

Less preoccupied with events and more open to You and Your works.

May each of us be mindful of our actions, that they reflect our belief in hope and our desire to be to others as You would have us be.

Amen

St Kilian’s School Christmas Appeal

Parents often make sacrifices for their kids and for those experiencing financial disadvantage, these sacrifices can include giving up the basic essentials so their children can have a Christmas present.

We need your help.

On average, the Vinnies Emergency Helpline receives 100 calls for assistance every day. By supporting the Giving Tree, you are helping Vinnies put gifts under the tree for locals experiencing disadvantage this Christmas.

 School Advisory Council

This evening marks the final School Advisory get together for 2024. The members of the School Advisory Council are to be congratulated and thanked for their efforts in providing the guidance and support to the school during what has been another very challenging year.

St Kilian’s School Christmas Party

 P-2 Tabloid Sports

What a fabulous day the Prep-2 students had last Friday morning for the Tabloid Sports. Lots of fun, colour, running, jumping and throwing. Thank you to Mrs Vaughan for all her organisation and to the Gr 6 students for running the activities.

Gr 5 - Just Leaders Day

Just Leaders Day! Thank you to our grade 5 leaders who spent the day with peers from other primary schools to develop their understanding of Caritas Australia.  The purpose of Just Leadership Days is to enable students to challenge injustices and to develop the leadership qualities to encourage others to do the same.
