Safe and Orderly End-of-Year Reflections and a Look Ahead to 2025
As the year comes to a close, we are proud to say our students have been truly amazing—demonstrating safe, respectful, and orderly behaviours right up until the end. This dedication reflects our strong culture of high expectations and commitment to excellence.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to introduce updates to ensure our high-performance culture continues to thrive. A key part of these updates is the transition of the Classroom Management Room (CMR) to the Reset Room—a space designed to align with Berry Street principles, our Safe and Orderly framework, and School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS). This shift focuses on accountability, reteaching practices, and re-engagement through student voice and agency.
What’s New in the Reset Room?
Reflection and Relearning: Students sent to the Reset Room will complete a Reset and Learn Activity, designed to reflect on and relearn expected behaviors while staying engaged with classwork or other learning tasks.
Tracking and Support: To support positive change, students with five Reset Room entries in one week will have a Student Support Group (SSG) meeting. This collaborative session will set behaviour goals and provide targeted strategies to address challenges.
Loss of Privileges: Continued entries into the Reset Room—10 or more in six weeks will result in additional consequences and loss of privileges.
These changes aim to foster accountability while providing the tools and support needed for students to succeed.
Let’s Start Strong in Term 1!
We’re asking all students to ensure they’re ready to excel from Day 1:
Be in the correct uniform
Have the right materials for learning
Be on time for every class
We’re confident that these updates will help strengthen our community and provide an even more supportive and productive environment for all.
Thank you to our staff, students, and families for your commitment and support throughout the year. Have a safe and restful holiday break, and we look forward to an exciting and successful 2025!
