The two white covers for the hearing augmentation devices on the walls of the gym have been removed. Who ever knows there the covers are or what happened to them could you please contact Denise immediately.
There are marks on some soft back walls in the gym which seem to be the result of someone spitting on the walls. Students may not use the gym unless there are staff supervising. It is disappointing that there are some many marks etc. on the walls and roof that are not part of normal use wear and tear. Please guide students to use the facility in the way it was intended.
On Curriculum Day the builders will be returning to complete the last of the defects. If there are ant defects that have not been reported to me please do so today so I can put on the list for repair.
Schools Emergency Maintenances Program
The tiny sinkhole in the bus loop has finally been assessed and a plan to repair has been developed. The investigation of the sink hole found that there many breaks in the storm water and sewer drains that run through the bus loop and parents' carpark. Theses drains both need replacing which needs excavating the bus loop and the carpark. The contractors have been employed and startup meeting for the project is this week. Hopefully, the work will begin as soon as school finishes and be close to finishing before we come back after the holidays. The current handover date for the parent carpark is February 21, 2025. This will be confirmed in late January 2025. Parents will be notified in a hand out, the next newsletter & via JSA Facebook page of the change in pick up & drop off points for the affected students.

All furniture including the tote trolley tubs are to remain in your 2024 room. Any furniture required to be moved or added to your 2025 classroom will need to be entered on the Maintenance log as early as possible Friday morning to enable Jacob to provide it for your classroom. Any EXCESS furniture in your classroom please leave outside the classroom & they will be removed as soon as possible. Due to the large number of maintenances works at the school Friday it maybe Monday before your requests can be actioned.
