Welcome to our third Aitken Hill Primary School Yearbook. Our yearbook provides our students and staff an opportunity to share our achievements, memorable moments, photographs, art works, new friendships and new learnings from the year with our community.

Congratulations to Upnaar Kaur in Year 2B for creating the beautiful artwork that has become the front cover of our 2024 Yearbook publication. Many students should be proud of their submissions into our Yearbook Cover Art competition. It was an extremely challenging task to select the final winner! Well done to everyone!

Thanks must go to our dedicated teaching staff, education support staff and administrative team for their time and hard work putting this yearbook together alongside our students. Everyone has done a fantastic job and on behalf of the leadership team we want to say how proud we all are of the finished article. We really hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

This year at Aitken Hill Primary School we have seen much growth and change. We finish the year with an enrolment of over 840 students, and with that growing population came the need to expand our infrastructure and upgrade our play spaces and grounds. We are very fortunate to have completed construction of our third Learning Community building this year, providing our school with additional generalist classroom and collaborative spaces, custom specialist subject spaces and a new Library. Our Year 3-6 students were elated at the addition of our Ninja Course playground and we also significantly expanded our gardens, seating and nature play spaces throughout the school.

Our students participated in many memorable events this year including excursions, incursions, house colours events, sporting events, art installations and performances. We thank all our staff for their dedication towards enriching our students school experience with extracurricular activities alongside their daily academic and wellbeing programs.

To our students- congratulations on another year of personal and collective growth, in both the academic and social emotional spaces. Our school values of Caring for Self, Others, Our Learning and Our School have been enacted daily by countless students with pride and integrity, and our CARE ticket trade-ins have been higher than every before, demonstrating your continued commitment to developing as upstanding citizens within our community.

Thank you to all our families who have shown their support for our school by engaging with school-lead activities, sharing our celebrations with us at fortnightly assemblies, and supporting staff and students to achieve their best each day.

Wishing all our families a wonderful extended break, and we look forward to creating more memories together in 2025!

Happy Holidays from our Principal Class Team,

Pete, Kathryn, Brian, Sara-Kate and Fiona
