SWIMMING CERTIFICATES - FOUNDATION AND YEAR 5
Swimming Certificates will be sent home today with those students in Foundation and Year 5 who participated in the program.
These certificates are provided by Aquazone and show the level and ability of your child at the completion of the program. The letter "P" next to the requirement means the child is progressing and has not yet achieved that standard.
CREATIVE VICTORIA ARTS GRANT
We were successful in obtaining a Creative Victoria Arts Grant for 2025 which will allow us to run an artist in residence program for all students.
ART THERAPY
A group of year 6’s have been working with local art therapist Leanne Radley for term 3 and 4. The group worked together to design and produce a wonderful mural in the shelter shed close to the Year 1/2 playground. Everyone did a marvellous job and showed off their amazing artistic talent. Well done, we love the final result, a bright beautiful backdrop for next years barbeques!
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO COUNTRY ARTWORK
Koorie students in Years 1-6 contributed to a beautiful piece of artwork, displaying our school’s acknowledgement. They used posca pens on dried gum leaves to create the special piece.
EAL END OF YEAR CELEBRATION
Last week, our EAL students celebrated another year in the program.
During the year, they worked so hard and progressed so well.
In the celebration, students also made wishes for the coming year.
Some wished to speak English fluently in 2025, some wished to continue to grow in the EAL program, and there were wishes to join a soccer team or a football team, grow basketball skills, master arts and maths, and be able to save money to visit friends and families in their countries of origin.
Warrnambool Primary School EAL Program wishes all EAL students’ dreams to come true.
DISCO WITH DJ DAVE
Last week all our students were treated to a disco in the refurbished school gym. Our resident DJ Dave provided the tunes and all our students had a wonderful time. Thank you to our specialist teachers for organising such a great event.
GOVEMBER CELEBRATIONS
After some very generous donations our final GOVEMBER Champions received their prizes. 3A also celebrated with a fruit platter for their outstanding effort of having the highest average of kms per student.
