Principal's Message

Mrs Belinda Hall - Relieving Principal

As the year draws to a close, we reflect on the wonderful year we have had and our many achievements. We could not achieve the educational success we have without our exceptional teaching and support staff. The quality of the educators at our school is phenomenal and I thank each one for their dedication to improving student learning and making the school a place each student wants to attend daily. Without the support of our teachers and community, students would not be able to experience the range of extracurricular activities that are on offer. For a school our size to offer opportunities to participate in three bands, Stage 2 and 3 PSSA, debating, dance, choir and many more is nothing short of amazing.

The current Year 6 students are preparing to leave Roselea and start a new chapter in their educational journey. To farewell these students, an arch will be assembled from 2.30pm this Wednesday. You are welcome to join us on the basketball court as we continue the tradition of ringing the bell tower to symbolise the end of their time at the school. We will miss all the Year 6 students and wish them all the best as they embark on a new adventure in high school.

The current enrolment numbers for next year are such that we may need to be in holding classes for the start of next year. This means that students, except for the new Kindergartens, might be in their current classes for a week or so until numbers are finalised. Whilst not ideal, this will avoid students becoming settled and then disrupted. If you are planning to return late from holidays or change schools for next year, it is imperative you contact the office as soon as possible.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the community as relieving principal and seeing so many events run smoothly. The Creative Arts Showcase and Twilight Fair were two of the highlights of this year. Without the support of the community, these events would not be possible, and I want to thank each of you for your contribution and dedication to the school.

I wish everyone a safe holiday and year ahead. Thank you for everything over the past twelve years and I look forward to hearing about the ongoing success of the school in the future. I know that under Mrs Kylie Bryant’s leadership, the school will continue to strive towards excellence and be the amazing school we know and love.
