Parents in Partnership
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
On behalf of the St Mary’s community I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the 2024 School Advisory Council. Your support, challenge and insight is invaluable to our school community and we are so grateful for the time you dedicate to this council. This year alone we have consulted, collaborated and explored ideas and solutions on;
- Teacher Shortages Vs Retentions - Ensuring St Mary’s has appeal!
- Our Master plan and moving forward with communal change
- Deep dive into data; The social and emotional needs of our learners and our NAPLAN trends and school community demographics
- Problem solving; parking, traffic, signage, community events, upholding our positive reputation and community connection
- Valued members; recruiting and inclusion of new and existing members
This year some of our members are moving on and we encourage those interested in being a part of this group to email Jasmine an Expression of Interest prior to the end of the school year!
Thank you to Inece Bray, Rick Sellars, Jacki Madgwick, Laurelin Berick, Tim Campbell, Rebecca Neville, Matt O’Connor, Rebecca Lloyd for your support and commitment to our school over the year!
Final Call for Expressions of Interest - School Advisory Council Members 2025
St. Mary’s is currently seeking expressions of interest for our School Advisory Council members. If you are interested in being part of the council or know someone who is, please express your interest to jryan@smechuca.catholic.edu.au.
School Advisory Council members meet approximately every six weeks to discuss current issues, strengths, and challenges facing our school. We collaborate to make informed decisions and understand various courses of action.
We welcome any interest from St. Mary’s parents who would like to contribute to our council.
