CHILD SAFETY AT MCKINNON SECONDARY COLLEGE

At McKinnon Secondary College we are deeply committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students. Our school has clear policies and procedures in place to safeguard students and provide a safe learning environment.

To support this commitment, we have dedicated Child Safety Officers at both campuses:

Patty Etcell – Child Safety Officer, McKinnon Rd Campus

Peter Gale – Child Safety Officer, East Campus

Our Child Safety Officers are available to respond to child safety concerns and guide our school community in understanding and implementing all relevant policies and procedures.

Attached to this newsletter, you will find key documents that outline our school’s approach to child safety, including:

Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy (including Child Safety Code of Conduct) – Our commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.

Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures – Clear guidance on how we identify, respond to, and report child safety concerns.
