STUDENT ID CARDS
We kindly encourage all students to bring their student ID cards when visiting the library. These cards are helpful for efficiently processing book loans and simplify the photocopying and scanning services available to students.
ONLINE ENCYCLOPEDIAS
I would like to take this opportunity to remind students and families about the two online encyclopedias that are accessible through the library's catalogue. The World Book Online encyclopedia is a trusted source of information for students of all ages, with articles, videos, and other multimedia resources. The Encyclopedia Britannica is also available, which provides comprehensive and authoritative information on a wide range of topics.
BOOK OF THE WEEK
The following books were recently featured in our Book of the Week display:
Wildlands by Brogen Murphy
Set 25 years in the future, Wildlands is a utopian survival story set in a rewilded England. On board the high-speed train between London and Glasgow, Astrid and her little sister Indie are accidently left behind after a brief unexpected stop. Stranded, the girls are faced with astonishing natural wonders and terrible dangers. Perfect for fans of The Explorer by Katherine Rundell. For ages 12 and up.
Bear by Kiri Lightfoot
Jasper Robinson-Woods is not okay - his name is too long, his mum has an annoying boyfriend, he never sees his dad, and he can't sleep because of a terrifying nightmare. Oh, and to top it off, his goldfish is dying.
Bear is a moving, often laugh-out-loud funny story showing that even when you hit rock bottom, you never know what, or who, is around the corner.
Happy reading!
