Strings News

JANE COLEMAN

All strings players from Classes 3-8 finished this year of playing with some lovely performances to parents and to the upcoming class 3, who are in the process of excitedly choosing violin, viola or cello for next year.

All class ensembles made a wonderful sound together and also performed in smaller groups, giving us a wide variety of music. Class 7 & 8 students also played some beautiful solo items.

The Festival Orchestra gave their best ever performance of Irish Yuletide, with its lovely Celtic Hymn and sparkling Jig and Reel.

Many congratulations and a big thank you to all performers – it leaves me with some lovely memories of your playing as I now say goodbye to teaching at the school. I will miss you all, but look forward to coming to hear future performances!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas time and holiday period and all the best for 2025 and the future,

Much gratitude and best wishes to everyone, from Jane
