Visit to Alice Springs Old Timers Village - A Heart-warming Performance by Our Primary School

On Wednesday the 4th of December, students from The Alice Springs Steiner School had the privilege of visiting the Alice Springs Old Timers Village – Residential Care Facility for a special and memorable event. Our primary school students brought joy and music to the residents with a heart-warming performance that highlighted the spirit of community and connection between the generations.

The event kicked off with a beautiful group choral performance, where all the students came together to sing a selection of uplifting songs. Their harmonies filled the air, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere that resonated with the residents. The smiles and expressions of appreciation from the audience were a testament to the power of music in bringing people together.

Following the choral performance, each class took turns showcasing their class performances, with students singing and playing recorder. The youngest students delighted the residents with their enthusiasm and energy, while the older students demonstrated their growing confidence and talents.

The residents of the Old Timers Village were visibly moved by the children's performances. It was a beautiful exchange of creativity and stories, and it was clear that the connection between our students and the residents went far beyond the music.
