Principal's Report

DINA FIECK

Dear Parents, Carers, and Friends of the School Community,

As we reach the conclusion of another academic year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the journey we have shared. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and countless memorable moments. Above all, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude.

Thank you to our entire school community—our dedicated staff, our wonderful students, and you, our supportive parents and carers. Your enthusiasm, commitment, and involvement have made all the difference throughout the year. Whether it was assisting with the market stall, supporting events such as the fair and camps, or contributing in countless other ways, your efforts have been truly invaluable. Thank you for being here, for your unwavering support, and for helping make our school a vibrant and nurturing place.

Farewells and Acknowledgements:

We bid a sad farewell to several members of our school community at the end of this year, and I would like to take a moment to acknowledge their contributions:

  • Marcella, who will be returning to America, has been a beloved member of our school. Her warmth, kindness, and reliability have touched the hearts of many. Marcella will be greatly missed by both staff and students, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
  • Lola, who has guided her class from Class One through to Class Three, will also be leaving us. Her dedication, professionalism, and artistic talents have been a tremendous asset to the school. She leaves behind a legacy of careful planning and a smooth transition for her class to Brittany. Thank you, Lola, for your years of service and leadership.
  • M’Lis, who has been with the school since 1997, will be stepping away from classroom teaching at the end of this year. M’Lis has played a pivotal role in shaping the Early Childhood program, from curriculum development to the physical layout of our buildings and gardens. Her dedication has had a lasting impact on the school, and we are incredibly grateful for all she has contributed. M’Lis will continue her journey with us in 2024 in the role of Early Childhood Lead Teacher and Teacher Mentor.
  • Jane, who has led our strings program with passion and excellence since 2003, will also be stepping down from her role as strings teacher. Jane’s leadership and expertise have helped to establish a strong and flourishing strings program that is the envy of many schools. She has cultivated a love for music and a spirit of excellence in all her students, and we wish her all the best in her next adventure.

We also extend our best wishes to the families who will be leaving us this year. Your contributions to our school community will not be forgotten, and we hope our paths cross again in the future.

Looking Ahead:

We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back to school on Wednesday, 29th January 2024. Our annual Welcome Breakfast will be held on Saturday, 1st February, where we will have the opportunity to meet new families and staff members.

In the meantime, I wish you all a restful and safe holiday season. May it be a time of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Warm regards,

Dina Fieck
