Education in Faith

Faith, Family, Friendship

At Holy Spirit, we respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri people and their Elders past and present, who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Holy Spirit Community School is located.

Dear God,

All peoples have their origin in you and it is your will to gather them and belong as one family.

Fill the hearts of all people with your love and the desire to ensure justice for all.

By sharing the good things of the earth, may we secure justice and equality for every human being, an end to all division, and a human society built on love and peace.

We make this prayer in Jesus’ name.

Amen

PARISH NEWS

Welcome back to the last term of the year.  The year is flying past very quickly.  Of course, the news of the week is our annual Fete.  What a wonderful day it was.  The sun came out in the afternoon and there were many happy faces to be seen.  We made a profit of $62,000 which is an extraordinary amount.  A huge thank you to our wonderful Fete Committee who have worked so hard.  We also give thanks to all the volunteers who gave so generously of their time and to all those who attended on the day to support our School and Parish.  The winners of the major raffle were:

1st Prize – Eastland Voucher, Oliver Weller

2nd Prize – Hot Air Balloon Adventure, Monica Howgate

3rd Prize – JB Hi Fi Voucher, Kelly Slater

4th Prize – Bar Fridge, Seamus Ryan

5th Prize – Flower Pot Voucher, Sean Donohoe

Congratulations to you all.

Last week, we welcomed back Fr Arsenio after spending 3 week’s in the Philippines to visit his family and friends.  We thank Father John for filling in whilst Father was overseas.

Holy Spirit is a child safe Parish.  We hold the care, safety and well being of children and young people as a central and fundamental responsibility of our Parish.
