Holy Spirit Fete
Saturday 7 October 2023
Thank you to everyone who attended our Community Fete on Saturday! We loved seeing everyone having fun, family & friends catching up and all the smiles! Huge thank you to of course to our amazing Sponsors and Silent Auction donators but a MASSIVE thank you to the "hardest working Fete Committee" as quoted by Sponsor & supporter Michael Sukkar MP. Plus all the volunteers who worked in the Counting Room, Parish House, Money Collectors, those who set up, work stalls on the day and the Sunday pack up crew. Whilst we cannot thank every single people we would like to recognise the Committee for their efforts all year in making the Fete happen.

Qu. Can I choose which stall I want to help with next year?
Of course! You can sign up to work on a particular stall or if you want to be a Stall Leader please contact us.
This was the first year that the school shut down so the Operations crew could start setting up for Fete Day. Sponsors Noel Jones provided a Coffee Bar for volunteers on Friday and Sunday whilst parish members provided light refreshments.
Thank you to everyone who came down on Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning to assist with setting up, finalising stalls and equipment and of course the big Sunday pack down. Thank you to Duncan to his crew for all their work!
There was no Grade 5/6 Volunteer for Stall Leader this year, so Belle took on the extra role of requesting & collecting donations with assistance from P&F Liaison Nicolle helping with the stall coordination & set up this year.
With over 40 donations the stall raised over $4000.00. Belle & Nicolle did an amazing job ensuring the stall went ahead. Huge thanks to Jenny Philip at Parish House for printing & laminating the vouchers.
Thank you to the Latella Family for donating all the fresh produce on Fete Day. It was very much appreciated and tasted delicious!
Belinda Lee Photography was again the official photographer for the event. We look forward to sharing her images over the coming weeks. There are lots of videos from the day already on our Instagram to check them out.
The Fete Committee MUST HAVE NEW members join this year otherwise it cannot go ahead in 2024. It is such a rewarding experience but we have to share the workload!
Having been previously been made up of current and past school parents and members of the wider Holy Spirit Parish community without incoming members there is not the manpower to survive.
Key members have retired and many are stepping down this year so we are on the search. This year’s Fete only went ahead due to the tenacity, dedication and massive efforts made by current committee members.
Please reach out to Belle Godfrey (Fete Committee) or Lauren Cefai (P&F President) if you’d like to get involved or email fete@holyspiritparish.org.au
