Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Madeleine McCormack (Year 3), who was awarded the Andrewartha Award at the Gymnastics Tasmania Junior State Championships. The award is presented to a gymnast who, during the state championships, demonstrates a floor routine that is exceptional in terms of artistry of presentation, choreography and entertainment value.

Sophie Johns and Lucy Hardy (Year 4), who competed in the Launceston Junior Soccer Tournament from 16-17 September. Their U10 Girls team (Clarence Zebras) were undefeated and declared tournament champions. Sophie also scored a goal during the tournament.

Sally Quinn (Year 9) and Lucy McKenna (Year 10), who are currently performing in the musical Legally Blonde with Musical Theatre Crew's Senior Performance Ensemble at the Playhouse Theatre.

Lyanne Olesco (Year 9), who competed at the National Australia Youth Volleyball Championships as part of the Volleyball Tasmania Girls U17 team. Lyanne's selection was the culmination of her hard work and commitment throughout the season and also acknowledges her dedication to the training sessions and involvement with Volleyball Tasmania's Junior Development program.

Sarah Bolonja (Year 10), who has achieved selection in the State U16 soccer team which will compete in the national competition to be held in Wollongong, NSW from 9-13 October. Sarah has also been selected as Captain—a huge honour that reflects the time and hard work Sarah has devoted to the sport and her peers.
