A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Term 4

Welcome back to term 4. I hope you had a restful holiday and enjoyed reconnecting with your children.  It was wonderful to hear the excitement in the students’ voices as they told me about their time at the beach, camping adventures or visiting relatives.

This term is an action packed term with many fun activities to look forward to. This Thursday primary students will be involved in our school Brain Olympia Competition. The day will be held in the parish hall. The students will be working in a team to answer general knowledge questions, to solve tricky Mathematics problems, to write a speech and create a drama skit.  It is a worthwhile learning opportunity both socially and academically for our students.

Book Fair

Our annual Book Fair is scheduled for next Thursday 19th October from 5.00pm. Students are encouraged to dress up as a book character (students may wear the same outfit as they did for Book Week). A delicious BBQ will be on offer and this is a wonderful opportunity to buy books for Christmas presents! I look forward to catching up with you at this important event.

New Director of Catholic Schools in the Armidale Diocese

It was announced yesterday by Monsignor Wilkes, that Ms Regina Menz will be our new Director from January 2024. Regina is currently working in the CSO as a School Performance Leader. Previous to this role she was the Principal of O'Connor Catholic College in Armidale. This is excellent news for our diocese as the successful work of our current leader, Chris Smyth will be continued and expanded upon by Regina. On behalf of our school community I would like to congratulate Regina on this appointment.

Happy Term 4!
