Stage 2

A message from Stage 2

Stage 2 has had a fantastic Term 3. The students have worked very hard this term and it is great to see them learning and playing within the school using their PAX behaviours. During our PDH Child Protection unit, they have approached sensitive topics with maturity and followed up with thoughtful questions.

Technology

Students have been learning about how to access and use a range of technologies including Google sites, Scratch Jr and robots. They have been focusing on efficiently utilising these resources to support their learning in class. Students are applying these technologies extensively when researching, planning and writing their own informative texts.

Stage 2 soccer

On Wednesday 31 August, over 70 of our students attended the Stage 2 Soccer Gala Day. Students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and represented the school proudly. They enjoyed interacting with other students from a range of public schools around Armidale.

Dance

Dance has been the focus for our Physical Education sessions this term. Students have generally enjoyed learning a range of dances including the Heel and Toe, the Macreena, the Good Time Line Dance and the Mexican Hat Dance.

Craft Club

Stage 2 have been strong participants in our weekly craft clubs. They have been making dream catchers, dragons’ eyes, as well as keyrings for our wonderful Student Learning Support Officers within the school.
