Vacation Care September Program
The vacation Care program was a great success with most days fully booked and the weather was amazing.
We enjoyed the new Oval and playgrounds every day and many engaging activities.
The Archery and Animation incursions were a great hit with food science and creation day also favourites.
The children love creating things from scratch and were so proud of what they designed.
The older children enjoyed selecting their own activities from those offered and many projects were worked on over multiple days.
We built our Bush Tucker Garden that will hopefully give us some amazing leaves and berries to use in Indigenous cooking. We have been cooking with lemon Myrtle and Wattle seed in the past but are now growing many other plants and trees for the children to learn the process of growing and using plants as food.
The dress up area was a hit for the whole two weeks with a group of children creating a play that was developed and practices over a few days before performing it.
The conversations and creativity in the dress up area was enjoyed by girls and boys and gave everyone lots of laughs.
In the coming weeks we will be gathering more information about the changes we made and survey children and families to help us design vacation care programs for 2024.
Please keep your eyes out for a Family survey so we can continue to review and make it the best it can be.
Term 4 Menu – Summer Menu
Our summer Menu has started this week.
Please have a look at the range of foods we will be offering this term and give us any feedback you have on our Menu’s.
Booking and Cancellation Reminders
If you are collecting your children from school or child doesn’t attend school for the day can you please make sure to let the OSHC program know.
This could be an email wheelershilloshc@gmail.com or text mobile 0409 0071 04.
If we don’t have child arrive we do go looking for them and ask teachers to help as we assume the child is missing.
This compromises the safety of the OSHC children in the program while educators are out looking for your child.
Just reminder that fees are still charged regardless of non-attendance.
We require a two weeks notification for deleting ongoing permanent bookings.
