A big congratulations to our Junior and Intermediate Hockey teams that recently competed at the SCS Hockey GALA day. The Intermediate Team displayed outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the event. Though they faced tough competition and narrowly missed out on the finals, their performance was nothing short of impressive. A special shoutout goes to our Intermediate Team captain, Victoria Campbell, for her exceptional leadership and guidance. Victoria played a pivotal role in mentoring teammates who had less experience.
A special shoutout to the Junior Brigidine Team. These young athletes gave their all on the field and emerged victorious, claiming the title at the SCS Hockey GALA day. Their hard work, determination, and skill have not only brought glory to our school but have also placed them in the prestigious position of being ranked 1st in all of Sydney Catholic Schools.
Congratulations to both our Junior and Intermediate Softball Teams for their dedication and hard work in preparing for the SCS Softball GALA Day. Their commitment to training and their passion for the sport were commendable. Unfortunately, due to the torrential rain the event had to be called off at 11 am, leaving our teams with limited playing time. At that point, our Intermediate Team had completed just one of their group games, facing Clancy Catholic College and emerging victorious. While the weather may not have been on our side, the spirit and determination of our players shone through, and we are incredibly proud of their efforts.
Congratulations to all our Thursday representative sports teams for their outstanding achievements in Term 3. In AFL, both the Intermediate and Senior teams secured victories in their respective conferences, demonstrating their skill and dedication on the field. Notably, the Intermediate team remained unbeaten throughout all of their league games, showcasing their dominance in the sport.
Our Junior tennis teams also deserve a special mention for their remarkable progress throughout the term. The Junior A team's unbeaten record in the entire league speaks volumes about their talent and determination, ultimately earning them the top spot.
In the realm of rugby 7s, we applaud all our junior, intermediate, and senior teams for their commendable performances. Each team showcased their grit and teamwork, securing third-place finishes in their respective leagues. Your sportsmanship and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and we are immensely proud of your accomplishments. Well done to all our athletes for representing our school with excellence and dedication. We look forward to even greater achievements in the future!
Unfortunately, the Sydney Championships were cancelled due to the poor air quality. Well done to the following teams for making it to the championships: Junior A Tennis, Intermediate and Senior Tennis.
Congratulations to all the students who trialled for the Term 4 representative teams.
The standard was extreme; high especially for Oztag.
Best of luck to our Oztag, Volleyball and Cricket teams.
