Term 3 continues to deliver!
Another fortnight of learning, activities, smiles, and laughter! Just to name a few events: Book Week parade, the P&C disco, Kindergarten’s first excursion, and the Ryde Eisteddfod for our bands. The community has been inside the gates regularly, and your support of your children is greatly appreciated by the staff at Roselea. In between all these memorable events, it has been great to see the students’ commitment to their learning. Each and every class I walk around is focused on their learning. Their effort is high, and from this, great things come.
Coming up
In the next few weeks, our events continue with Stage 3 going to camp, the Epping Beecroft music rehearsal, our Year 3-6 students completing their check-in assessments, and K-6 working towards the end-of-term CAPA evening, Night of Stars.
2024 NAPLAN
Tonight at the P&C meeting, I will be presenting a brief analysis of our 2024 NAPLAN results. It has been incredibly pleasing to see how well our students have performed, which validates the professional learning, planning, and hard work that our teachers engage in every day.
As a staff, we analysed the results last week and asked ourselves, "Where to next?" It is such a pleasure to lead a school with such committed teachers who, even in the face of outstanding results, are already questioning how we can continue to challenge our students and push our students to exceed their potential.
A few reminders:
- CAPA, Night of Stars, costume requirement note came out last week. It is attached here:
- Please ensure that you have paid for excursions when you are completing the permission note. Statements will be sent out over the next week.
- No parents or carers should be parking onsite in the afternoon to pick up their children. We need spots available so that our support class students can be safely transferred into their transport.
Night of Stars ticketing information
This week, you will get a RSVP link sent out to you via eNews asking how many seats your family would like to watch the performance. There is no cost to attend.
We are releasing the tickets in stages because it is likely that we will fill the hall. The first stage will be a limit of 2 tickets per family. After that, we will open it up for you to invite other family members who may want to watch your child perform if we have space.
Please carefully read the information and fill out the form that will be sent on Wednesday. This form will be used as your RSVP and tickets will be allocated closer to the event.
Uniform
At this time of year students may wear either full summer or full winter uniform according to the weather. Please ensure your children have their school hats.
Kindy 2025
Our first parent information session is coming up on Thursday, 5th September. It is not too late to be involved in this event, so if you have a child starting school this year, please click on the link below to complete the enrolment process:

I would also appreciate you passing this on to other people outside our school community who will be coming to Roselea in 2025. For a successful transition to school, these sessions are vital, so it would be great if everyone who is coming in 2025 is able to attend.
