LTU Regional Pathways Program Update

Albury-Wodonga Campus

The Regional Pathways Program is a regional initiative that aims to address the disparity in higher education participation and attainment between regional and metropolitan areas. It focuses on increasing educational engagement among senior secondary school students by providing them with workshops on topics such as study skills, literacy support, wellbeing, and career pathways including university.

Vision:

Our goal is to improve educational outcomes for regional students and increase community awareness of the positive impact further education has on local development.

This Week's Workshop

To follow on from an earlier workshop on exam preparation, the Regional Pathways Program team delivered a workshop on the importance of critical thinking and its relation to examiner's reports this week.

Students took part in an activity where they read through a section of an examiner's report, and used their critical thinking to find comments that would be important to remember and that could shape their study habits in preparation for their exams this year.

University Open Days

University Open Days are continuing to run throughout the month of August. Open Days are a great opportunity for students and their families to see university campuses and potentially meet some of the teaching staff before the student makes a decision about where they will go to university.
