On Monday, Mrs Fitzpatrick and myself picked up the school’s new Kia Carnival! We made the decision to purchase a vehicle that will seat a greater number of students, without the need for a bus.
It was really great to have Fletcher attend the staff meeting on Tuesday night of this week to share with us what the students are doing around the College. We really value student voice, and SLC and Captaincy roles are an avenue where students can discuss what they want to see and make happen at the College.
We will be holding our Mid-Term whole school assembly next Friday, 23rd August at 9am. All family and friends are invited to join us to share what has been happening this term to date.

Book Week Celebrations
Charlton College will be celebrating Book Week in the week of 26th of August to 30th of August. Just to note, this is a week later than the set date by the Children’s Book Council of Australia due to other school commitments . This year’s theme is Reading is Magic.
The highlight of Book Week is our dress-up day, which will be held on Friday 30th of August. We would encourage all students and staff to come dressed as a character from a book or from the theme. On Friday morning during Advisory (9.00am) the students and staff will gather outside to see each other’s costumes. There will be prizes for the best dressed.
Time is running out! We would really like to hear your thoughts.
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback. The survey, offered by the Department of Education, is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement.
Your opinions are important to us and will contribute to identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies. The department will use the results from the survey for research purposes and to improve outcomes for students.
The survey will be conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete. It can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.
The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will close on Friday 30 August 2024.
Details on how to complete the survey have been shared via compass.
We would really appreciate as many parents as possible taking the time to complete the survey.
