Tournament of the Minds

Congratulations to the following Tournament of the Minds students in Grades 4 and 5 for their meaningful performance at Latrobe University last weekend:

Student agency, voice and leadership was a key part of the entire challenge since the students were required to create all aspects of their performance independently.  The seven participants (the maximum number permitted from each school group) took on a challenge where they were required to interview someone from within our community and retell their story through performing arts.  They followed Tournament of the Minds criteria by selecting three art forms, wrote their own script and created their costumes and props from a list of Tournament of the Minds 'allowable materials'.  Their performance was restricted to a small stage area, and their time limit was ten minutes.

Well done to our inspiring students for their amazing collaboration, dedication and creative approach to the challenge over the past six weeks. They competed against multiple other schools from across Melbourne.
