Wow, what a whirlwind of excitement it’s been for our Grade 5 students! First, the concert, and then off to camp—it’s been non-stop fun and adventure.
Last week, our Grade 5s took to the stage, and what a show they put on! Every single student dazzled with their dance moves, and they all looked absolutely fantastic. Yes, there were a few nervous faces before the curtain went up, but the way they came together and delivered an outstanding performance was nothing short of amazing. A huge thank you to all the parents, guardians, and carers who played a vital role in making it all happen—your help with costumes, organisation, and timely pick-ups and drop-offs made a world of difference!
And then, this week, the adventure continued as the Grade 5s packed their bags and headed off to camp at Noval in Halls Gap on Monday. What an experience! From flying down the mountain during abseiling to conquering the leap of faith, our students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and courage. And let’s not forget the sweet reward of ice cream that topped off the camp! A big shout-out to those amazing parents who lent a hand in bringing the bags back to the classroom—you’re the best!
As we wrap up the past two weeks, we're looking forward to settling back into classroom routines and diving into learning as we finish off the term. Here’s to more exciting times ahead!
Thanks PLC5 teachers.

Welcome to Term 3, Week 7! It’s hard to believe that in 4 weeks, we will be finished Term 3 and in less than 4 months, your child’s Primary School Journey will have come to an end.
We are so proud of our students for how they handled the bright lights of Concert! There was a lot of anticipation leading up to our three performances, however the students put their best foot forward (pardon the pun!) and danced, moved and sang with enthusiasm! We have had a lot of students talk about how they won’t forget their week, especially our Dance Party in the Theatre on Wednesday night!!
This week we are getting back into our regular routine, which includes completing some PBL lessons on Consent. Information has been sent home via Compass about these sessions and the content within them. With our Literacy Block, we are continuing to work our way through the book “Paper Planes”, and in Numeracy we are keeping an eye on the AFL Finals and using statistics to help us choose the winning team! It will be a big change being in the classroom for all of our classes after all of our disruptions, but we know the students will rise to the challenge!
We also have a few Secondary School transition events coming up over the next few weeks, so it is really important to keep your eyes on Compass and make sure you approve any of the events that your child has been invited to in a timely manner.
Also, if we have not received your child’s Prep photo yet, please email this to your classroom teacher ASAP
