What's Happening In Secondary

Secondary Expo Evening

On the evening of Tuesday 20th August, students, parents and staff gathered in the DCS Secondary building for the second annual DCS Secondary Expo. Students had spent the previous week collecting samples of work from each of their subjects to ‘paint the walls’ with evidence of their hard work and learning throughout the year.

Parents of Secondary students, as well as Year 6 students and their parents, were treated to guided tours of the Secondary building as Year 7 and 8 students showed off their learning and gave their parents a glimpse of life in Secondary school. Guests were invited to taste meatballs and dumplings created by Cooking students and a highlight of the evening was a musical item performed by the Term 3 Music class.

Parents have reported being amazed and impressed by the quality of learning on display, particularly the polished English writing. We are so proud of our Secondary students and how dedicated they are to their learning!

Father's Day Stalls

DCS Community will be holding their annual Father’s Day stalls on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th August.

Students will have an opportunity to purchase an amazing gift for Dad or a loved one.

Please see above for the days each year level will be able to purchase items.

Items will range in price from $1-$10 

Reggie Dabbs at Gateway Church

Gateway Church Devonport would like to invite our school community to an awesome weekend we have coming up with REGGIE DABS! 

Reggie Dabbs is one of the most sought-after speakers around the world and visited us at DCS just last year! The NW Coast of Tasmania is so blessed to have him back with us in a few weeks time. We are looking forward to coming together to lift up the name of Jesus and hear from Reggie Dabbs in a powerful way.

• All in Sunday Night Service (SUN, 01 Sep, 5:00pm)
