From the Principal Leader
Dear students, staff, parents and friends of Chisholm,
2025 YEAR 12 RETREAT
Our 2025 Year 12 students attended their senior retreat recently at the St Benedict XVI centre at Grose Wold. The students came with open hearts and minds allowing the Holy Spirit to work within them building a relationship with God, their friends and the teachers. I am very proud of Year 12 for the beautiful way in which they interacted with each other and their genuine engagement with the Retreat program activities allowing them to deepen their faith. Thank you sincerely to Mrs Jeanette Cocks, Ms White, Mrs Petrovski, Mrs Wilson and Mrs Lemaire for their outstanding leadership in guiding the program, as well as the staff who also volunteered to lead small groups. Your passion, dedication and commitment are greatly valued and highly appreciated. The retreat program is one that allows students to connect wherever they are on their own personal faith journey and empowers them to grow further as they continue in their HSC year. Hopefully, at times of personal struggle and challenge they will not feel alone with the strong support of staff, in particular Mrs Wilson and Mrs Lemaire and the Year 12 Team, along with their friends and families guiding them to achieve their goals. Thank you to the students for your engagement and participation allowing you to grow in faith, self belief and confidence as you embark on the exciting journey ahead. We are with you all the way ladies and know that you will succeed academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually as you keep your heart and mind open to further growth.
PARENT PARTNERSHIP SURVEY FROM CSPD
During the last 3 years we have worked in a strong partnership with you as parents to be inclusive and inviting to ensure you feel valued and welcomed as a key part of our Chisholm community. Your engagement with us in awards ceremonies, Mother's and Father’s Day liturgies, awards ceremonies, graduations and Parents as Partners Hub meetings, student/parent meetings to name a few, has continued to build a climate of care, support and trust. We thank you for your ongoing commitment and dedication forming a relationship with us that empowers your daughter to grow and flourish beautifully.
Please read the following information and complete the survey from CSPD:
Dear Parents and Carers
As a valued partner in your child’s education, we need your help. Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) is inviting you to complete a short survey about your involvement with our school. We know that having families involved in their child’s school experience has a positive impact on student achievement, behaviour and wellbeing, and leads to improved parent-teacher and teacher-student relationships.
We also know that sometimes there are obstacles that may make it hard for you to engage with us in the way that you want to. This survey has been designed to help CSPD get a better understanding of what these challenges are and how we can make it easier for you to play an active role in your child’s education. Your responses will help us to create a new way for parents and carers to be active participants in school life across all CSPD schools.
Please note that you can choose to complete this survey anonymously if you wish. Responses are requested by 15 November 2024. Thank you so much for your support of our school community.
If you have any questions about the survey, please email Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese Family Engagement Officer, Steve Batchelor on sbatchelor@parra.catholic.edu.au.
Kind regards
Tania Cairns
Principal

YEAR 11 AWARDS CEREMONY 2024
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all Year 11 for completing their Year 11 Preliminary RoSA successfully at the end of Term 3. The students worked very diligently and have proven to themselves that they are capable of growing in their knowledge and skills, completing assessments thoroughly, and learning new study skills in preparation for the commencement of the HSC course starting in term 4 2024. It was so impressive to see so many students excelling and receiving recognition for this. As well as this, students were acknowledged for community service hours with Gold awards honouring their significant contributions to the Chisholm community. Congratulations to all students and all the very best wishes as you now embark on your HSC year ahead.
May God bless you always and keep you safe
Mrs Tania Cairns
