Welcome

A big welcome back to students for the start of term 4. The year is quickly coming to an end and we want to remind you of the simple expectations that will ensure a good finish for students, staff and parents. A lot happens in term 4 and we suggest making sure you are checking SEQTA notifications for any information including VET applications, reports, timetables and much more.

Hats

Term 4 brings back school Hats. Students are reminded that they need to bring their school hats and wear them at recess and lunch. This is part of our sunsmart policy and to protect students from the harmful UV rays. Students will be asked to move to the shade and consequences will apply if continuing to not comply.

Uniform

As the weather gets warmer we ask that all students wear the appropriate school uniform. Sunscreen will be provided in year level offices. If your child is out of uniform for any reason can they please hand in a note to the year level coordinators to receive a blue pass.

Attendance

If your child is absent for any reason can you please make sure you are calling the hotline, updating Skoolbag or getting in touch with teachers through SEQTA. As we move closer to the end of the year we are looking to ensure that there are no unexplained absences to follow up. Your support is greatly appreciated in this matter.

Year 12 last day

The last day for year 12 students is fast approaching. Wednesday 23rd of October is the last official day for year 12 students. After this year 12 students are welcome to study in the study centre and are encouraged to continue to work with teachers to ensure good exam results.

Exams

Exams will begin on Tuesday 20th October with the English exam. An exam timetable will be distributed to the students to ensure they are aware of what time their exam will be and the location. Students who have special consideration are asked to speak to the year 12 team to organise this as exams move closer. All students are reminded that no phones, smart watches are allowed, only a transparent drink bottle is accepted. If you have any questions please contact the senior team.

Year 12 pathways snapshot

Very exciting news in regards to some of our year 12 students who have finished for the year and picked up work as Education Support officers at one of our local Primary schools. Well done to Ava, Jayke, Carli and Tarkyn for taking the initiative of putting yourself out there. We all know you will do an incredible job and take extra special care of the students at 298 and Rassmussen road. Well done.
