Frank Blanchard Bursary

We are proud to announce that applications for the Frank Blanchard Scholarship are now open for consideration. This is a bursary open to current Year 10 students who are committed to their learning programs for Years 11 and 12 and whose families are seeking financial reprieve for their college fees in the final years of senior schooling. This bursary is generously supported by our Parent Partnership Panel, and honours the memory of Frank Blanchard, who made significant contributions to Mount Alvernia College during his many years as President of the P&FSN.
The application form is available here. Completed applications should be marked CONFIDENTIAL and forwarded directly to the College Principal at Principal@mta.qld.edu.au by Friday 15 November. Final decisions regarding bursary holders will be at the discretion of the Principal and will remain private and confidential.
Information about The Frank Blanchard Bursary
Frank Blanchard was a past parent of Mount Alvernia College in the 1960s and 1970s, serving as the President of the Parents & Friends Association and playing a key role in key community and fundraising activities. This Bursary is made available by the Mount Alvernia Parent Partnership Panel and is designed to assist the parents of a Year 10 student/s, willing and capable of progressing to Years 11 and 12 at Mount Alvernia, but who will experience financial difficulties in doing so. Under the terms of the Bursary, the Parent Partnership Panel will pay the Tuition Fees for the selected student for Years 11 and 12. Completed application forms are to be returned to the Principal.
No information concerning the name or circumstances of the recipient/s or their family/ies is communicated to the Parent Partnership Panel or College staff. Final decisions regarding successful bursary holders will be at the discretion of the Principal and will remain private and confidential Closing date for applications is: Friday 15 November 2024.
