Year 2 Sacrament of Reconciliation

On Wednesday, 16th October was my first Reconciliation. We went to the Good Shepherd church. First we sang ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’. We did the act of ‘The Lost Sheep’ and I was Ezra, the shepherd!

It was my turn to do my reconciliation. I told the Father my sins. The Father and God forgave me. I did one Hail Mary which was my penance. I felt relieved afterwards.

It was Wednesday, October 16h, the day of our very first Reconciliation. It was the day when we tell God our sins and God forgives us back at church.

We went inside the church and saw rows of pews, decorated windows and three priests waiting for our confessions. We sang "The Lord is my shepherd". After the song finished, we sat back down and waited for a long time.

It was my turn and I got a script to read. I walked up to one of the priests and talked about my confessions. He gave me a penance and I walked back and quickly prayed.

Reconciliation was exciting and good as God forgave our sins.

On Wednesday the 16th of October 2024, I did my First Reconciliation.

First, I stood up and sang Lord is my Shepherd. When the song ended we all sat down.

Next, I heard the story of The Lost Sheep. It was quite short.

Then, I sat down. It was time to speak to the Priest. When it was my turn I went to the Priest I told the Priest the wrongdoings. When I went back to my seat I prayed the Our Father.

Finally, I took a photo of me praying to the tabernacle.
