Survey My School
“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. 'Til your good is better and your better is best.” - St. Jerome
This Parent Satisfaction Survey at St Edward’s Primary, South Tamworth was undertaken in September 2024. Invitations containing a link to the on-line survey instrument were sent to all parents. The survey remained open for 14 days. Parents who had not completed the survey were sent a reminder three days before the survey closed. Parents were asked to express their satisfaction in response to a number of statements. Their responses were scored as follows:-
Strongly Agree 4
Agree 3
Neither Agree nor Disagree 2
Disagree 1
Strongly Disagree 0
The average score for each statement is colour coded for quick reference.
0 to 1.9 - RED
2 to 2.9 - YELLOW
3 to 4 - GREEN
Parents were asked to identify the year level or levels in which they had a child attending. Where parents had students in more than one year level, their responses are included in reports for each of these year levels. This report includes ALL questions on the survey.
Here’s a summary of the feedback key phrases from what I like about St Ed's:
# Caring and Supportive Staff – Teachers are attentive, approachable and foster positive student relationships.
# Strong Family and Community Engagement – Parents are welcomed at events and feel part of a connected community.
# Positive Communication and Recognition – Regular updates, positive feedback and recognition of student achievements.
# Focus on Individual Growth and Values – Emphasis on intellectual nurturing, individual learning styles and core values.
# Welcoming and Well-Resourced Environment – Inviting campus with quality facilities and a supportive learning atmosphere.
Summary of if I could improve one thing about St Ed's:
# Improved Communication – Desire for more frequent and clear updates on student progress, incident handling and event information.
# Uniform and Canteen Options – Suggestions for updated uniforms and a more inclusive canteen menu.
# Parking and Drop-off Improvements – Need for better parking and traffic management around the school for smoother pick-up and drop-off.
I would like to thank the parent community for taking the time to respond to our Parent Survey and congratulate our school community on continuing to work together to ensure that our students are given the best opportunity to achieve success with learning.
Year 5 Leadership
It's that time of year when our Year 5 students commence their preparation to take on leadership roles in our school. Student leadership in a school setting is an important management function that helps to ensure improved efficiency and voice and therefore supports the achievement of goals. We look forward to being an active part of the preparation process to ensure we are set up for success in 2025.
School Fees
As the end of the year is rapidly approaching, could I please ask that you finalise school fees over the next few weeks. The school’s financial year is a calendar year and we need to report to the Catholic Schools Office by the end of this year. Again, thank you to our community for your ongoing financial support of our school.
