This is what our students have been up to this week.
On Monday some nominated year 5 students participated in an extension maths games day hosted by the Mathematics Association of Victoria.
Competing live on-line in a small team of 4 against over 300 other teams from schools across the State, our students worked collaboratively to solve challenging games and activities within a set time limit. Strong teamwork, communication and a flexible and creative thinking approach were all required to solve these complex multi-step tasks.
Well done Sebastian, Griffin, Ferdi and Arthur. We were so proud to see you challenge yourselves and go into the day with your can-do, positive attitudes. Bouncing ideas off each other, negotiating, showing pride and never giving up... the Mount Beauty Primary School way! You are incredible mathematicians.
