A huge congratulations to our Year 5 students who nominated and gave their School Captain speeches yesterday. All the speeches were amazing, and they should take pride in their efforts. It is unfortunate that we can only pick 4 students. I am looking forward to working with all the nominees in 2026 to make Eglinton PS an even greater school than it already is.
Over the past couple of weeks, we have hosted our new Kinders for 2026 during Kinder Transition. They are adjusting well, and with a few more sessions remaining, they are enjoying school. We look forward to having all of them with us in 2026.
Another reminder about the park across the road. Unless students are with parents/carers, they must go directly into school when dropped off or walking to school at 8:50am. The school does not provide supervision in the park, and I cannot ensure their safety.
Staff have noticed over the past couple of days that students are being disrespectful to some teaching staff. Students are refusing to complete work, talking back to staff and disrupting the learning of others. Can you please remind your child/children of the importance of being respectful to all adults in our school.
During the Christmas holidays we will be having some building works happening on site. The kinder building is getting a fresh coat of paint inside and out and the student toilets adjacent to the library are getting all new doors, locks and hinges. We are looking forward to the revamp.
School Community Charter - Please read the attached document outlining the School Community Charter.
At Eglinton we strive to ensure that all teachers, students, parents and community members treat each other with dignity and respect. This is inclusive of drop off and pick up times. The school is committed to building a positive school culture where student, staff and parent wellbeing is a priority. I appreciate your support.
