Stage 1 Religious Education - Caring for all Creation
Year 1 and 2 classes are focused on what it means to live in the right relationship with all of God’s creation. It’s an essential unit covering both how we treat each other and how we care for the world. They began by studying the Parable of the Good Samaritan. This story teaches the children that being a good neighbour means showing compassion and kindness to everyone in need, regardless of who they are. They are exploring practical ways they can show this care daily.
Mini Vinnies Christmas Hampers - preparation
In Week 6 of this term our school community will begin collecting donations for our
annual Christmas Hampers appeal. This year our local St Vincent de Paul organisation has asked that instead of tinned food and pantry items that we focus on new/good condition toys and games for children. Donations could also include Christmas decorations, Christmas food items etc.
More information will come directly from our school Mini Vinnies in week 6.
