Kindergarten Excursion
Yesterday, Kindergarten students along with Ms McDonald, Mrs Liddle and Ms Watkins, went on an excursion to the local Ambulance, Fire and Police stations. This excursion supported the learning in their Health unit "All About Me: Staying Healthy and Keeping Safe".
"At the police station, I learned that the police officers have a speed radar that they point and scan the cars and see if they are going too fast. If they go too fast, they might get a ticket." - Naithan
"At the Fire Station I learned to not play around near smoke because it is not healthy for you to breathe in. If there is smoke, get down low and go, go, go!" - Freya
"At the Ambulance Station I learned that the paramedics drive the ambulances very fast in an emergency to get to the hospital." - Mackenzie
"At the Ambulance Station I learned how to bandage people up if they're hurt. If it is a super big cut, and you don't have enough bandages, you can use something else to bandage it up, like your work shirt. The ambulance people showed me how to bandage on my arm." - Henry J
