Congratulations to Our Future Leaders for 2026 – Year 5 Students!

We are thrilled to announce that our amazing Year Five students will become the school leaders of 2026! We are so proud of how much you’ve grown, learned, and achieved this year. As you prepare to step into Year Six, we know you will bring kindness, responsibility, and enthusiasm to your new roles. Being a school leader is a special opportunity to set an example for others and make a positive difference in our school community.

This is a significant milestone, and you should take a moment to celebrate your hard work and dedication. Leadership is an important responsibility, but it is also a journey filled with opportunities and experiences you will cherish. Embrace this role with confidence and live out our school motto, Strength and Gentleness. We have every confidence that you will lead with respect, teamwork, and pride.

We look forward to supporting you in the handover process and watching you shine as leaders in 2026. Congratulations once again, we can’t wait to see the wonderful things you will accomplish!

Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry Day was a special event where Year 5 students from different schools came together to grow closer to God and strengthen their faith. The day helped everyone learn how Jesus can be part of their everyday lives and guide them on their journey of faith.

Students imagined going on a journey with Jesus and packing three symbolic items. The water bottle represented Jesus’ never-ending love that fills and refreshes us. The torch showed how Jesus is the light that guides us through dark and difficult times. The first aid kit symbolises how God heals our wounds and forgives our sins, just like a first aid kit helps us recover.

Throughout the day, there was prayer, singing, and games that made learning about Jesus fun and meaningful. Youth Ministry Day was a time for students to reflect, grow in faith, and remember that Jesus is always walking beside them.

Showcase of Talent at Hornsby R.S.L

On Wednesday night, the Bishop’s Creative Arts Prize was held to celebrate the top three winners from the Broken Bay Diocese. The evening was filled with excitement and pride as students, teachers, and families came together to enjoy the creativity and talent on display.

The Bishop’s Art Prize is a major competition that brings together forty-five Catholic schools from across the diocese. It gives students the chance to shine in five different categories: dance, music, visual art, short film, and drama.

The showcase was a wonderful celebration of the arts. The winning artworks were displayed around the venue, giving guests the chance to walk through and admire the paintings, drawings, and other creative pieces. The atmosphere was made even more special by live piano music, which played softly in the background and added a sense of elegance and joy to the night.

The event highlighted not only the talent of the individual students but also the strong sense of community across the schools. It was clear that the Bishop’s Art Prize is more than just a competition, it is a chance to celebrate imagination, hard work, and the joy of sharing creativity with others.
