Colour Run 2025

A huge thank you to our incredible Sacred Heart community for making this year’s Colour Run such a success! The students had an absolute blast, and together we raised fantastic funds towards our big goal - a new sensory and imaginative play space for our children. A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers who helped with set-up, spray duty and pack down. A special shout-out to Caroline and Mon for creating the magical rainbow garland that the children loved running through! It was a joyful, vibrant community day - and one we hope becomes an annual tradition at Sacred Heart. Thank you for your enthusiasm, support and spirit!

Christmas Market – December 4

It’s that wonderful time of year again! We’re thrilled to announce that the Sacred Heart Primary School Christmas Market is just around the corner — an evening filled with festive fun, delicious treats, and plenty of Christmas spirit for the whole community. This event not only brings us together to celebrate the season, but also helps raise valuable funds to support our school programs and resources for our students.

To make this year’s market the one to remember we need your help! 🌟

Here’s how you can get involved:

Whole school:

📚 Second-Hand Books Stall – We’re collecting slightly used children’s and adult books. Please drop donations off in the hall.

🧸 Toy Stall – Donations of pre-loved toys in good condition are very welcome!

Start collecting and kindly drop them off in the hall by Monday 1 December. A collection box will be ready for you to pop your books and toys.

Volunteering:

There are some tasks on the day before for set up, on the day for set up, during the market to help run it smoothly and at the end to help us get all packed and cleaned up!

Thank you so much for your help in advance - we really appreciate it!

Prep and Year 1:

🍬 Lolly Donations (2 bags per family) – We’re collecting a variety of lollies to fill our Christmas jars — for example, snakes, strawberries and cream, red frogs, and other individually wrapped sweets.

Start collecting and kindly drop them off in the hall by Monday 1 December. A collection box will be ready for you to pop your lollies in.

Year 3:

🍪 Baked Goods Stall – Cakes, slices, biscuits, or festive treats — homemade or store-bought, all are welcome!

Your generosity and participation make all the difference in creating a magical and memorable day for our community. Start baking your delicious goodies and drop them off at Reception on the morning of the market, Thursday 4 December. A collection box will be ready for you to pop your baked treats into. Your generosity and participation make all the difference in creating a magical and memorable day for our community.

Thank you for your continued support and festive spirit.

Christmas Market Committee

We’re looking for our 2026 Parent Reps! 👏🌟

Thank you to our current Parent Reps for a fantastic year.

As we look ahead, we are reaching out to invite Parent Reps to join the Parents Association for 2026!

Parent Reps play a vital role in helping to strengthen the connection between families and the school.

They help share information, support class and school events, welcome new families, and offer ideas that enrich the experiences of our children. Most importantly, they help bring us together as a warm, inclusive community.

We truly value the partnership between our families and our school, and we’re excited to welcome new Parent Reps to the team too!

Do you love helping out and bringing people together?

Are you a good communicator and happy to share updates with your class?

Can you support school events and be a friendly point of contact for families?

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

Please send an email to our VPs Loretta or Luisa at sacredheartpa3101@gmail.com before our AGM on Tuesday 25th November.

Sacred Heart Meals Service

What is the meals service?

The Sacred Heart Meals Service is available to all Sacred Heart families that require some practical help in the form of meals at a time of need. This may be due to a very happy occasion such as a new birth in the family, or in more difficult circumstances such as a death or illness in a family.

How does it work?

The Meals Service Coordinators can be contacted by a teacher, class rep, member of the Parents Association, a friend within the school or the family members themselves. The coordinators would then contact the family to chat about what would be helpful (e.g. how often, favourite meals, dietary requirements etc) and then coordinate the service, requesting assistance from the relevant year level.

It’s important to note that we are very careful in being discreet at all times and maintaining confidentiality, ensuring the family are happy with what information (if any) is passed on to those we are asking to assist.

We can be contacted via the following methods:

Amy McIvor

Ph 0411 034 463

amymcivor@yahoo.com.au

Caroline O’Sullivan

Ph 0419 100 964

Please feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions, we are here to help!

Kind regards,

Caroline O’Sullivan (Billy Year 4) and Amy McIvor (Rafferty Year 3)
