Year One Camp

Year One students enjoyed an action packed Bluey themed camp right here at school! The excitement began with cupcake making and icing. Then it was time to get active with sports, where students participated in bean bag toss and Finska. After a tasty afternoon tea of cupcakes, then began the silent disco, with students dancing to their own beat in glowing headphones and dress ups. The adventure continued with an incursion featuring billy carts, easy rollers, cart construction and gravity rollers. The fun filled day wrapped up with delicious pizza!

News from the Classrooms

The Prep children will be starting their special day with breakfast at school on Thursday 4 December. The children will come to school in their pyjamas, eat breakfast and get ready for the school day together. The morning will include an exciting Christmas themed incursion.

Year 1

Today, the Year 1 students visited Legoland in Chadstone to support their learning in Mathematics. The students have been learning about Location and participated in the 'Dog Obstacle Course.' They had to use thier imagination to build an obstacle course out of Lego and use directional language to give/follow instructions to move people and animals to different locations. The students also participated in a facilitated workshop and were given time to explore the exhibits, rides, 4D cinema and build and play zones.

Debating

This term the Senior students have been working in groups to plan and prepare a debate on a particular topic. The topics included:

  • E-scooters should be banned in the city
  • Australia should become a republic
  • Australia should close all zoos
  • Space exploration is a waste of money
  • We should ban sports involving animals

Well done to all the students for the confidence they displayed when presenting their speeches over the past few days. All students showed growth and development in their speaking, listening and critical thinking skills. Thank you to the parents who were able to come along and listen.
