Student Voice &
Positive Environment
At Wyndham Central College, we know that when students have a voice, they help shape the heart of our school community. This term, we are proud to celebrate the incredible growth of student voice and agency across all year levels — where students are not only sharing their ideas but taking meaningful action to make a difference.
A major highlight has been the work of our Student Representative Council (SRC), who have taken on the important task of reviewing and providing feedback on our current school values. Through thoughtful discussion and collaboration, the SRC has helped ensure our values reflect the aspirations, diversity, and spirit of our school community. Their insights and suggestions will help shape the next chapter of Wyndham Central College’s identity — one that truly represents the voices of our students.
In addition to their work on the school values, our student leaders have continued to inspire through their involvement in events. They’ve shown that leadership is about action, inclusion, and teamwork, creating a school environment where every student feels heard and valued.
Across classrooms, students are also demonstrating agency in their learning — setting goals, reflecting on progress, and taking ownership of their growth. Their willingness to take initiative and work collaboratively embodies the very qualities we aim to foster at our college: respect, resilience, and a passion for learning.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ commitment to shaping a positive school culture. Their voices are guiding real change — and together, we are building a stronger, more connected, and inclusive college community.
In planning for 2026 and setting up student leadership teams, the Year Level Leaders will be working with students during Step Up to select the SRC representatives and house captains for their year levels. Students will complete an application form, present a speech to their peers, and students will vote for who they feel will best represent them in 2026. The successful candidates will be announced at the first year level assembly next year.
