Step Up interviews

The College Step Up Parent/Carer-Tutor Teacher re-enrolment interviews for Year’s 11 and 12 student’s (2026) will be held on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 November and you will be able to book a 30 minute interview to facilitate this (a letter has been provided outlining the details).

There will be no formal classes for the Year 11 and 12 students (2026) over the two days to facilitate the interviews.

The purpose of this meeting is for students, along with parents/carers to meet tutor teachers and discuss important information for the following school year. Please note that this is a requirement for all students for re-enrolment for 2026.   Students will then commence their 2026 Step Up classes from the 17 November until the 28 November (timetables will be distributed at the interview).

Year 12 farewell

On Friday the 24 of October, we celebrated the achievements of our Year 12 students and wished them farewell at the Valedictory dinner. On the night, we celebrated with families and friends, the achievements of the class of 2025 and students were acknowledged for their academic achievement and presented with subject and excellence awards.

The night was a huge success, and I would like to thank Mr. Harpreet Singh and the Year 12 team for the successful organisation of the night; along with the Year 12 teachers who contributed to the educational growth of the students to enable them to successfully complete Year 12.

I would like to thank the Year 12 students for their exemplary behaviour leading up to their celebration day, farewell assembly and the Valedictory dinner. Our students demonstrated the College values of Respect, Cooperation and Excellence all throughout this time by focusing on their education.

I wish the Class of 2025 all the very best wishes for their future studies and/or employment and if we can be of any assistance then please do not hesitate to contact the College.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 10

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all Year 10 students on their efforts and achievements this year. There is so much to be proud of, and I hope the students take a moment to reflect on how far they have come and the dedication they have shown to get to this point. I would also like to thank all of you for the support you have provided to the students throughout the year.

No doubt, these efforts will be reflected in some outstanding exam results.

On the 13th and 14th November, all Year 10 students and their parents are scheduled for an interview with a teacher regarding next year. During this meeting, students will receive their timetables for Step-Up and confirmation of the subjects they will be studying next year. Attendance is crucial. If you have not yet booked a time, please do so as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend, please contact your child’s teacher.

Step-Up is an important time for students as they begin their journey into VCE, whether through the VCE/VM pathway or the VCE pathway. Key content will be covered during these sessions, and due to the demands of the courses, it will not be possible to revisit this material next year. It is therefore essential that students attend and get a strong start to their course.

Recently, students organised activities for their peers, and it was wonderful to see the students participating in those activities. From making cupcakes and painting portraits to mass games of werewolf and sticky golf, everyone had great fun. These activities provided a great way to conclude our pastoral program for the year. Looking ahead, the university trip and ice-skating excursion promise to be fantastic opportunities to end the year on a high note.

I wish all students the very best as they finish their exams and start their Year 11 VCE and VCE/VM journey.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 11

Students are now completing the final stages of their exams for 2025. I would like to congratulate them on the mature and positive way they have approached their studies and conducted themselves throughout the exam period. It has been wonderful to see the dedication, effort, and sense of responsibility that students have demonstrated over the past few weeks.

As we wrap up the academic year, I encourage students to take pride in their achievements and reflect on how far they’ve come in their first year of VCE/VCE VM. Their hard work and perseverance have set a strong foundation for success in Year 12 and beyond.

Goal-Setting Interviews

Goal-setting interviews are scheduled for Thursday, November 13, and Friday, November 14. No classes will be held on these days. These interviews provide an opportunity for students, parents, and tutor teachers to discuss essential information for 2026 and review student timetables. Parents and carers have been provided with a booking form to schedule an appointment with tutor teachers for 2026.

Step Up 2025 Program - Including Excursion to Victoria University

On November 21, students will be attending an excursion to Victoria University. This will provide a valuable opportunity for them to experience what tertiary studies are like as they plan their pathways beyond 2026. Parents and carers are asked to submit the signed consent form for the excursion as soon as possible.

A heartfelt thank you to our tutor and classroom teachers for the energy and dedication you’ve shown throughout the year. Your support has helped our students grow in confidence and resilience during their first year of VCE/VCE VM. The Year 11 team is deeply grateful for the ongoing encouragement and support from our school community. It has been a pleasure working with the Year 11s this year, and I wish them all the best as they move into Year 12. Their Year 12 Year Level Leader for 2026 will be Harpreet Singh; please reach out to him with any inquiries for next year.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 12

Year 12 Report

Our Year 12 students have officially completed their classes, marking the end of 13 years of schooling! This is an incredibly exciting milestone as they begin the next chapter of their lives. I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our Year 12 cohort for their dedication throughout their VCE and VM studies. Their determination, resilience, and positive spirit have been inspiring. As shared at the Valedictory Dinner, these young people have faced challenges with great perseverance, and we are so proud of all they have achieved.

To our Year 12 families — thank you for your ongoing support, encouragement, and partnership throughout your child’s journey at the College. Your involvement has played a vital role in helping them reach this point.

Celebration Week

The Celebration Week was a huge success. Over 100 students enjoyed a fun-filled day at Funfields on Tuesday, October 21st. The following day, students came together for a shared breakfast, a cohort reflection assembly, and the annual Year 12 Farewell Assembly in the College gym. The celebrations concluded on Friday, October 24th with the Valedictory Dinner at Seasons 5, Point Cook. It was a beautiful evening of recognition, laughter, and reflection, with families and staff joining to celebrate the achievements of our graduating class.

A special thank you to Ms. De Domenico, Ms Esquivel and Ms Crane for all their assistance in organizing the Valedictory, and to all staff members for their tireless efforts in supporting our students to the finish line.

Examinations and Next Steps

VCE exams are now underway. During this time, please remind students to look after themselves — eat well, rest, and stay hydrated. Preparation and balance are key, and students should arrive at school at least 30 minutes before their scheduled exams.

Students completing the non-scored program are reminded to continue attending school and finalising their work in the Learning Resource Centre until it has been signed off by teachers.

Looking Ahead: Results and Pathways Support

As we look ahead, I’d like to draw your attention to an important date: Thursday, 11 December, when the VCE results will be released. On that day, our Pathways Team will be available from 10:00am to 2:00pm to offer counselling and support to students as they consider their options and make any necessary changes to their preferences. Parents are warmly invited to attend these sessions as well.

The Pathways Team will also be hosting a Morning Tea from 10:00am to 12:30pm in the Monash Building, just outside the Careers Office. This will be a wonderful opportunity for students to reconnect, reflect, and seek guidance in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Farewell, Class of 2025

It has been a privilege to watch our students grow into confident, capable young adults ready to make their mark on the world. On behalf of the entire College community, I congratulate the Class of 2025 and wish them every success and happiness in the years ahead.
