Britton Shield Basketball

The annual Britton Shield Basketball competition brought energy and excitement to the courts at Hibiscus Stadium.

Our U8 boys were treated to a special skills clinic led by members of the Brisbane Bullets, who guided them through dribbling, shooting and teamwork activities before finishing with a series of fun mini games. It was a memorable experience and a highlight of the day for our youngest players.

Clayfield also fielded two U10 and two U12 teams. Our U10s competed across two pools, with the Green team finishing in 7th place and the Blue team securing 6th.

Our U12 teams delivered impressive performances, with both advancing to the finals on the back of their strong defence, smart ball movement and exceptional teamwork. The Blue team fought hard in their final match, finishing in a draw to claim equal 3rd place alongside Ipswich Junior Grammar School. The Green team showed outstanding grit and determination in the grand final, taking out the U12 championship trophy.

Semester 2 Primary Sports Awards Assembly

Our Semester 2 Primary Sports Awards Assembly was a wonderful celebration of the commitment, teamwork and spirit shown by our young athletes throughout the semester. Students were recognised not only for their achievements, but for the positive attitude and dedication they bring to their sport.

This assembly also marked a special moment as we farewelled our Year 6 students, who have been integral members of our Primary sport community. Their leadership, enthusiasm and contributions have set a fantastic example for younger students. We wish them every success as they transition to Secondary School and hope they continue to embrace their love of sport.

The pool was bubbling with excitement as our Prep and Year 1 students confidently showcased their swimming progress during our annual Swimming Exhibition. This event offered our youngest athletes an opportunity to demonstrate the skills they have developed throughout the term.

Parents and teachers watched proudly as each child took to the water, displaying their growing confidence, enthusiasm and understanding of water safety. The focus of the exhibition was fun, participation and building a positive, lifelong connection with swimming.

Congratulations to all of our Prep and Year 1 swimmers on their fantastic efforts! A warm thank you to our dedicated swim coaches and staff for creating such a supportive environment. We look forward to watching these young swimmers continue to grow and thrive in the years ahead.
