We are pleased to announce that our LUX Guest Judge is Jacqueline Armistead (Class of 1983).

Jacqueline Armistead is an award-winning curator and arts consultant whose extensive career has significantly shaped Queensland’s artistic landscape. With degrees in Fine Arts, Art History, and French, alongside studies in Project Management, Jacqueline has held influential roles across Arts Queensland, the Department of Public Works, and Cox Rayner Architects, and now contributes as a sought-after consultant at Armitstead Art and as a curator and director at the Griffith University Art Museum. 

 

Renowned for her ability to integrate art with place and community, she has served as a board member, judge, and founder of initiatives such as the churchie emerging curator program. A passionate advocate for First Nations artists and the role of public art, Jacqueline has been recognised for her “outstanding contribution to the relationship between artists and architecture in Queensland” and was recently appointed as a Queensland Arts Showcase Program Peer Assessor (2024 to 2026), continuing her leadership in promoting artistic excellence across the state.

Speech Night Rehearsal Schedules

All musicians from Years 6 to 12 performing at Speech Night are required to attend all rehearsals on Monday 17 November at the Clayfield College Assembly Hall and on Tuesday 18 November at QPAC.

Monday 17 November                                                        Students may wear their PE uniform throughout the day. However, those travelling to and from school by public transport must change from formal uniform into PE uniform.
Tuesday 18 NovemberStudents may wear their PE uniform during the day but must change into their formal school uniform for Speech Night.

 

All musicians will have a break from 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Tuesday at QPAC and must remain on-site during this time. Students who have not ordered a meal through QPAC must bring their own.

 

Please note that no heating facilities are available, and students will not be permitted to purchase items from the vending machines or café.

Private Music Tuition for 2026

All students, both new and continuing, who wish to participate in private music tuition in 2026 are required to complete the following form.

The cast of Alice in Wonderland JNR is busy with final rehearsals for the year, running through the entire show and beginning costume fittings. A reminder that all cast members are expected to attend rehearsals to ensure the production comes together seamlessly.
