As your Primary Sports Co-Captains, we were proud to host the Semester Two Sports Awards Assembly, celebrating an incredible season of dedication and achievement across a jam-packed schedule of AFL, Aquathlon, Athletics, Basketball, Football, and Gymnastics.

The term started with our Interhouse Athletics Carnival. We trained every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 7:00am. Our dedication paid off! At the Andrews Cup Athletics competition, we represented Clayfield proudly and gave our best, resulting in us earning our 3rd Percentage Cup this year!
A huge congratulations to Charlize Gri, Winnie Woodcroft, Elsie Slaughter, Ada Spiteri, and Ava Spizzirri for placing on the podium. We sincerely thank our coaches and Ms Lewin for helping us train and organising the event.

Team sports were a major highlight. In Football, every player worked hard at training sessions. In the Andrews Cup, our A team placed equal 7th, our B team placed 5th, and our C team placed 7th. For the Britton Shield, even though the scoreboard didn't go our way, we still had a great day and a lot of fun.
In AFL, both teams trained hard. Our A Team finished 7th, but our B Team had an amazing day, playing some brilliant footy and finished in a fantastic 2nd place!

For Aquathlon, we were hyped to participate and cheer on all the other students. We were determined to have fun and be great hosts, and in the end, we won and brought home the trophy for the Britton Shield event!

Getting up at 6:00am for Basketball training was hard, but 100% worth it! We saw friends go from not being able to dribble, to shooting shots like Steph Curry! In the Andrews Cup, we ran hard, defended harder, and backed each other every single minute. Finally, our Gymnasts performed incredibly well at the Meagan Mitchell Shield, coming 2nd in D Grade. We want to give a shout out to Winnie Woodcroft for getting a perfect 10 on vault!
We would like to thank Mrs Fellowes and our amazing coaches, Miss Lewin and Ms Hughes, and everybody who made these wonderful events possible. Well done to all the students; we are so proud of your achievements!
