Leadership Communication

My Lord and My God

Dear Families,

We’re already halfway through the term and it’s wonderful to see how much our students are learning and growing. Classrooms are full of energy, curiosity and hard work, and we’re so proud of the way our children continue to engage deeply in their learning and support one another.

Lots of excursions and sports have been happening lately.

We hope you're following our instagram page to get valuable insights into these special days and also glimpses into the world of the classroom in 2025.

There’s still plenty to look forward to as we move through the remainder of the term, including the F–2 Sports, Carols, our Leadership Mass and Graduation celebrations. These special events are an opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate a year of growth and achievement. Keep an eye on the events page for more information!

Behind the scenes, planning for 2026 is also well underway. The process of forming new classes has begun, with each child nominating three friends they feel they work well with. It is our commitment that at least one of these friends will be in their new class. As classes begin to take shape, teachers will thoughtfully review groupings and provide opportunities for students to connect and see how new class combinations might learn and thrive together.

Head to our Community Page to see the St Thomas Christmas Card winners for 2025.

Please see the reminder below that outlines the technical issues on our school PAM and SIMON everywhere service.

Have a super weekend,

Sarah Chappell

School Reminders

As PAM/Simon Everywhere is still down, please continue letting us know if your child will be away from school. You can email us at admin@cranbourneeast.catholic.edu.au or call us on 5998 9293.

Daily Student Attendance Reminder

Please be reminded that if your child will be absent, it is important to notify the school promptly. If no communication is received, the school will follow up with an SMS, phone calls to parents/guardians and emergency contacts, and an email. A final text from the principal will advise that Victoria Police may be contacted if no response is received. Your timely communication ensures the safety and well-being of all students.

Early Pickups and Appointments

If your child needs to leave school early for an appointment, please notify the school in advance and sign your child out at the office. Please be mindful of the following times:

  • Recess: 11:05 – 11:35 AM
  • Lunch: 1:45 – 2:15 PM

Students cannot be picked up during recess or lunch, as they will be in different locations around the school. You may arrange to collect your child before or after these times

Additionally, students cannot be picked up from 3:00 PM, as they will be packing up for the day.

Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth and safe school day for all students.
