From Our Year One & Two Classrooms

In Grade One and Two we have been enjoying reading lots of rich and exciting texts. We’ve been learning to ask questions, make predictions, and think carefully about what we read. We are also using our phonic and word knowledge to help us read new words and become even more confident readers! 

The Grade Two students have been exploring data in our math lessons! They have collected information on topics that interest them, such as favourite fruits, pets, and sports, and learned how to organise their findings using tally charts, bar graphs, and pictographs. It’s been exciting to see their enthusiasm as they interpret the results and share what they’ve discovered with their classmates.
