Kildare entered the Thunder Girls Cricket competition for the first time in 4 years. The girls were outstanding representatives of our school, finishing third overall.

The group stage saw the team developing their skills securing two crucial wins to advance to the semi-finals. We secured excellent victories against Kooringal, playing exciting cricket marked by tight bowling and sharp fielding. This was followed by a walkover win against Mt Austin, cementing our place near the top of the group.

In the semi-finals, we faced the formidable Mater Dei Catholic College (MDCC) in a thrilling match. While the girls played hard and gave it their all, they ultimately came up short against a strong side.

Showing true resilience and competitive spirit, the team immediately regrouped for the 3rd place play-off against TRAC. The girls delivered a focused performance to secure the win, earning a commendable third place overall.

Well done Girls.

The girls' rugby team showed immense grit and determination in their recent Lucas Cup match against a strong Mater Dei CC side. Although the final scoreboard might not have gone our way, the team played with passion and commitment, delivering a performance that showcased their growing skill and teamwork.

From the opening whistle, the intensity was high. Our girls tackled fiercely and showed excellent structure in attack. However, Mater Dei proved to be a formidable opponent, possessing notable speed which ultimately gave them an edge, allowing them to capitalize on gaps in our defense.

Despite facing a quicker team, our attacking effort was excellent, resulting in four fantastic tries from Molly O, Mille M and two from Sienna B

The final score saw Mater Dei claim the victory, 31 - 20, but our team can hold their heads high. Scoring 20 points against a side of that calibre is a testament to the hard work they have been putting in at training.
