Principal's Update

Last Friday I had the privilege of attending the T20 Kanga Cricket blast in Mooroopna with some of our Year 5/6 students. The students had a fantastic time and should be commended on their effort and excellent sportsmanship. The highlight of the day was Xayden getting a hat trick, well done!! It was wonderful to see these students working together in a team, as many of them have been Cobram Primary School students since Prep, and I have watched them grow from being shy preps to mature senior students of the school.

I would like to congratulate our latest Blitzmasters! Each time I hear the news that we have another potential Blitzmaster it is very exciting! The work that goes into being a Blitzmaster is incredible, students must first get 3 passes on each level of Blitz. Once they have achieved this in the classroom, they are then given the opportunity to become a Blitzmaster by completing a new level 26 Blitz sheet in the office. The effort that goes into this achievement should be celebrated, as not only do they have to be accurate but also fast! Well done to Brayth, Harrison and Willow on being the latest students to achieve this!

Each lunch time our Education Support staff run structured play. This is a program we introduced to assist students who may be struggling to find an activity in the yard at break time. Staff offer a range of activities including soccer, basketball, football, library, yoga, arts and crafts, sandpit competitions and karaoke. These activities are a huge hit with students! After hearing from students about the karaoke I popped in to watch. Students were enjoying singing in front of their peers and also listening to others. It was great to see this program being such a success! Have a chat to your child and ask them what they enjoy doing at break time.

As we are heading towards the end of the school year, we realise just how many special moments have filled our classrooms and playgrounds. The friendships formed, the milestones achieved, the sports days, dress-up parades, writing displays, and all the small moments in between—these are the memories that make primary school truly unforgettable. This year, we are excited to celebrate those moments with our 2025 School Yearbook.

A yearbook is more than just a book of photos, it’s a keepsake for the future, and something incredibly meaningful to look back on. Students love seeing themselves and their friends among the pages—and in years to come, these pages will bring back memories that might have otherwise been forgotten.

Whether you keep it on the bookshelf, bring it out at family gatherings, or tuck it away for your child to discover years from now, the yearbook is a gift to their future selves. As an adult I still look over my year books, as they have become a cherished memory of where my story began.

Don’t miss the chance to secure your copy. Once printed, extra yearbooks will not be available as only pre-orders will be taken. Order yours and preserve the magic of this school year. An order form will be sent home with students this week.
